How VRTE works

The tool is local-first for v1. It uses PowerShell collectors, a local data store, and optional manual probe imports to estimate recovery time.

  1. 1. Add a VBR server and test the WinRM connection.
  2. 2. Discover jobs, restore points, proxies, repositories, and SOBR extents.
  3. 3. Run telemetry, logs, throughput, and bandwidth checks against the real path.
  4. 4. Select the restore point and target RTO you care about.
  5. 5. Export HTML or JSON reports for the assessment.
